CT – GAS TURBINE ENGINEERING
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Experience Requirements:
1 Background in rotating machinery encompassing a technical competence in the mechanical engineering disciplines associated with combustion turbine design.
2 Broad background in rotating machinery Materials technologies, including material/coatings systems for high temperature combustion turbine applications.
3 Familiarity with operational aspects of combustion turbines.
4 Knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures are a plus.
5 Chinese and English language skills are essential. Presentation skills are highly desirable.
6 Strong interpersonal skills to work with multi-cultural colleagues, customers, industry experts, and university associates.
7 Project management skills.
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinate activities associated with combustion turbine research projects with universities and vendors in China including but not limited to:
1 Communicate proposed research project tasks with university and/or vendor implementers.
2. Maintain technical surveillance and administrative control of on-going projects.
3 Provide timely feedback to Power Generation organization sponsoring projects.
4 Assess and make recommendations regarding:
5. Potential research topics for value and viability, and
6. Qualifications of candidate researchers for likelihood of success of proposed projects.
7. Develop and implement, with approval of sponsoring Power Generation organization, corrective actions for projects not satisfying project milestones and/or guidelines.
Educational Requirements:
Masters degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Materials Engineering required. PhD preferred.
