Corporate Development Associate Mid to Senior Level, Full Time, Business Development Corporate Center - Zentrale Personalabteilung, Beijing, ChinaID: 55008 Introducing ourselves: Bertelsmann, a global media company with leading businesses in TV broadcasting and production, book and magazine publishing, recorded music, media clubs & retail and media services, is looking for talented individuals for its China Corporate Center. The primary goals of the Corporate Center, currently being established in Beijing, are to facilitate government relations, to coordinate the activities of the operating units and to expand Bertelsmann’s footprint in China through active corporate development and investment activities. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing team as Bertelsmann expands its activities in China. Job duties: To support the corporate development effort of Bertelsmann and its divisions, primarily in China but also in Asia, in conjunction with Bertelsmann’s other corporate development professionals in China and Germany. Responsibilities: * Conduct market research and analysis on companies, media markets and sub-markets * Support Bertelsmann’s Asia and China strategy formulation efforts, both through in-house efforts and by managing relationships for outside consulting providers * Coordinate divisional business update and review process * Support Bertelsmann’s M&A efforts through a wide range of activities including valuation, due diligence and negotiations * Liase at all levels with personnel from Bertelsmann’s divisions to facilitate cooperation and capitalize on new business opportunities Job requirements: * Excellent interpersonal skills in both the Chinese and Western context * Ability to think analytically, critically and creatively * Minimum 1 year experience in a Bertelsmann company * 2 years experience with top international consultancy, investment bank or similar analytical funtion highly preferred * Strong university degree * Excellent Chinese language skills * German and English language skills highly desirable Compensation: Bertelsmann offers highly competitive salary, benefits, training and advancement opportunities Interested?
