SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER intern:

The main customers of these projects are Microsoft external customers. The customers will be reading web forum posts from Visual studio, using chat in MSDN, register in Microsoft CRM system and get regular newsletters from Microsoft. Our online applications are using asp.net, SQL, .net heavily.
--Our team is part of MXPS and we are looking for smart, creative, motivated developers to help ensure that we are giving our customers what they deserve: the highest quality products that meet their business needs. In doing so, our developers deal with and have to respond quickly to real customer issues across multiple MXPS customer facing and backend data mining products. Working so closely with customer issues, yes, can be challenging but also it’s the quickest route to realizing real customer satisfaction and because we deal with both legacy and new projects.
--Qualifications: The ideal candidate must have good debugging, design and coding skills with experience in C#, asp.net, IIS, and SQL. The candidate must have strong communication and problem solving skills. The candidate should also have a good understanding of object oriented design and be able to understand and navigate existing code. BS/BA in computer science or a related discipline would be a benefit.
SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER /TEST intern:

Do you enjoy working on a high-performance team to solve tough technical challenges and help multi-million people? If so, there is an exciting opening in Microsoft Experience and Platform service China test team that will give you the chance to evangelize customer needs and drive key online technologies, including customer and product registration and end-to-end user experiences with Communities at large.
--We are looking for a strong Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for this position. The candidate will be responsible for writing and executing test plans and cases, designing and developing test tools, analyzing, debugging, and reporting code bugs, database warehouse testing, white box and black box testing, and working on an automation infrastructure being built from the ground up. Responsibilities will also include working closely with the Development and Program Management teams to ensure the feature/product is compliant to design specifications, test results generation/compilation and reporting, interfacing with a number of other product teams across Microsoft, etc. Pushing quality upstream is building in the checks on quality which eliminate defects before code is specified, written, checked in and built.
--Candidates should have good design and object oriented programming experience as extensive automation needs to be written in C#, SQL, and XML . Knowledge of C++, Web Services, and/or other web programming languages would also be recommended. The position requires minimum of 1+ years of developing or testing commercial software product or equivalent, good problem solving skills, the ability to work both independently and collectively in a team environment, and good communication skills. Experience using code profiling and performance analysis tools, developer tools like resource leak tracking tools, and past experience with services is also a definite plus. Education requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience is preferred.
