Responsibilities:
As a Senior SOA Consultant you will be engaged in business critical
projects for clients, who include many of the leading Chinese banking,
telecommunication, industrial, government customers. A Senior Consultant
plays an integral role in selling and delivering enterprise level and
complex solutions, defining IT strategies and roadmap in helping the
customer to achieve their business goals. They will be good communicators
and problem solvers capable of undertaking a range of responsibilities
which may include directing other team members in selling and delivering.
The senior consultants will be required to achieve a balance between
meeting client obligations and supporting their own personal development
plans. They will also be expected to provide support to the business
development function and undertake some internal responsibilities to
support the growth of IBM/'s business.
A Senior SOA consultant is required to consult or lead customer to
rationalize SOA initiative and adoption from business perspective. He or
she shall be able to develop the business plan or proposal based on
revenue/cost justification. He or she shall also be able to help customers
to assess SOA infrastructure and identify requirements.
Desired Skills/Experience
Demonstrated experiences on leading IT projects that exceed three-month
periods
IT experiences on application business case planning
IT experiences on either application development, testing or operation
Fluent in both English and Chinese speaking/writing and presentation
With consultative personality and willing to take challenges and solve
difficult problems
Undergraduate from University or above
At least have 5 years of IT experiences
At least have application platform development or support experience such
as IBM WebSphere or BEA Weblogic will be mandatory
Specific industry application know-how and experiences in involving within
application life-cycle will be a plus
Chinese speaking candidates are preferred
IT infrastructure Consulting Practice consists of different levels of
consultants across GTS. The mission of our practice is to play the role as
the tip of arrow to lead consulting engagements and project delivery. Our
focuses include IT strategic planning, IT Service Management (ITSM)
consulting, SOA consulting, IT security consulting, Business Continuity
and Recovery Services (BCRS) consulting, etc.
