About Qimonda 
Qimonda AG, the new memory company carved out of Infineon Technologies AG on M
ay 1, 2006, took the number-two position in global DRAM sales in the first qua
rter of the calendar year 2006 (according to Gartner Dataquest, May 2006). Cur
rently a wholly-owned subsidiary of Infineon, Qimonda is headquartered in Muni
ch, and generated net sales of €2.8 billion in its 2005 financial year. Qimond
a has approximately 12,000 employees worldwide and access to five 300mm manufa
cturing sites on three continents, and it operates five major R&D facilities, 
including its lead R&D center in Dresden. With a historical emphasis on PC and
 server products, the company is now focusing on products for graphics, mobile
 and consumer applications using its power saving trench technology. 
  奇梦达股份公司是于2006年5月1日从英飞凌科技股份公司分拆出来的全新内存公司，20
06年第一季度在DRAM销售额方面高居全球第二位（根据行业研究公司iSuppli的初步预计）
。奇梦达是英飞凌的全资子公司，总部位于慕尼黑，2005财年实现净销售额28亿欧元。奇
梦达在全球约有12,000名员工，在3大洲拥有5家300mm 晶圆厂，并运营5家大型研发机构，
包括位于德累斯顿的研发中心。奇梦达历来重视个人电脑和服务器产品，现在的发展重点
是应用其节能沟槽技术生产面向图形、移动与消费应用的产品。 
Qimonda History 

1948 
Back in 1948, the German physicist Eberhard Spenke and his team build the firs
t experimental Siemens transistor. 

1953 
Siemens introduces the first processes to originate high-purity silicon. Today
, Qimonda relies on silicon wafers in its leading-edge manufacturing. 

1960 
In the early days of photolithography techniques, visible white light was used
. Today, Qimonda conducts research on advanced mask technology to further driv
e the shrinking roadmap. 

1982 
Siemens lays the foundation for its semiconductor business. Today, Qimonda has
 sales of nearly 3 billion euros. 

1998 
Infineon spins off as an independent semiconductor company. Today, Qimonda is 
the number two player in the DRAM market. 

2006 Qimonda launches operations as the world’s leading creative memory compa
ny.
