The Graduate Development Programme starts with six weeks of intensive training at our exclusive Academy in Amsterdam. It continues with a tailored schedule designed to give graduates real insight into the way the business operates. In our Sales & Trading Programme you can expect to undertake a series of struc tured rotational placements across a variety of trading and sales desks in our Global Markets and Structured Derivatives groups. In our Banking Programme yo u will join our Analyst pool, working on live deals in Mergers & Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets and enabling you to develop an analytical and advis ory career in our Global Clients, Structured Lending and Fixed Income Capital Markets businesses. In addition to the broad knowledge of international bankin g that such hands-on experience will give you, you will also attend specific t raining courses designed to help develop your professional, technical and pers onal skills. You will be based in Hong Kong with the opportunity for regional and, potentially, global rotations. China Graduate Development Programme The year-long China Graduate Development Programme offers you structured devel opment, as well as a clear insight into the way our business operates. You wil l rotate across our local corporate and investment banking business locally. At the end of the programme, most of the full t ime opportunities will be in Shanghai with the opportunity for regional rotati ons. Closing Date for Applications The closing date for applications of both Global Graduate Development Programm e and China Graduate Development Programme is 12 November 2006 (17.00 Hong Kon g Time). We expect successful applicants to start on the programme in Septembe r 2007. Hong Kong Summer Internship Programme - Banking and Sales & Trading tracks An internship gives you first-hand experience of our business and will help yo u to decide whether a career in banking, and at ABN AMRO, is right for you. As an intern, you will gain a real insight into our working culture and the dyna mics of our business and will be given the opportunity to see whether you have the skills and potential to forge a successful career at ABN AMRO. In Hong Kong, we offer penultimate-year graduates a 10 week structured Summer Internship Programme. The internships are based within specific teams in your chosen business area and, according to the needs of your team, you might find yourself conducting company research for key presentations and getting involve d in wide range of projects. Whatever your project you will always find help, advice and encouragement from your line manager, your team, your “buddy” and “mentor” who will support you throughout the summer. Opening & Closing Date for Applications The opening date and closing date for applications is 1 November 2006 and 25 D ecember 2006 (17.00 Hong Kong Time) respectively. We expect successful applica nts to start on the programme in June 2007. Your Qualities We are looking for highly ambitious, enthusiastic graduates. Academically, yo u'll need a 2.1 honours degree or GPA 3.4 or above in any discipline, along wi th 300 UCAS points, or the combined (overseas) equivalents. Fluency in writte n and spoken English is essential. However, personal qualities are just as imp ortant as qualifications. We expect you to have the confidence, initiative an d team spirit to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients, so to maximise your career development and personal contribution.
