Location: Shanghai

Positions:

Software Engineers (Access)

Job Description:

- Be a member of the Tellabs Broadband product team in Shanghai.

- Responsibilities include software design, documentation, coding and debugging; feature testing and design verification. 

- Activities are self-determined and involve the assessment and resolution of complex problems at the project/functional level.

Requirements:

- Development experience with programming language of C/C is required

- Good knowledge on data structure and arithmetic

- Knowledge on telecommunication and network is required

- Knowledge of UML is a plus

- Knowledge on Linux, shell programming and service configuration is a plus

- Good verbal, interpersonal, and technical leadership skills

- Master degree in Telecommunication, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.

- Good oral and written English

Test Engineers (Access System Test)

Job Description:

- Will work closely with a skilled team of development engineers to design execute feature testing and documenting test results for broadband access product.

- Activities are self-determined and involve the assessment and resolution of complex problems at the project/functional level.

- Set up a testing platform for telecommunication broadband product development.

- Design and execute feature testing via scripts or automation test bed, and documenting test results.

Requirements:

- Telecom-related development and test experience in

XDSL, NGN or GPON product preferred

- Good understanding of Test Standard and Methodology for

Telecom Network

- Familiar with TCP/IP protocol, ATM, ADSL, Ethernet

- Familiar with Real-time OS. Skilled in C/C program language

- Master degree in Telecommunication, Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.

- Good oral and written English

Engineers (Transport 7100 EMS Client)

Job Description:

- Develop Tellabs 7100 Element Management System (EMS) applications with responsibility to ensure consistent implementations and problem resolutions.

- Job expectations also include requirements analysis and breakdown to high level designs, writing detailed design documentation, and developing code for Java GUI applications

- 

Requirements:

- A minimum of 2 years software development experience using object oriented methodology

- Knowledge on UML is desired

- Must be proficient in Java programming

- Experience in object oriented design methodology with UML/Rational Rose a plus

- Knowledge in the following areas: 2-D graphic or network management application development, Jbuilder on Windows platform, CORBA, JACORB, Oracle, network security protocols, TL1, and SNMP is preferred.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in English.

- Bachelor degree or above

Engineers (Transport 7100 EMS Server)

Job Description:

- Develop Tellabs 7100 Element Management System (EMS) applications with responsibility to ensure consistent implementations and problem resolutions.

- Job expectations also include requirements analysis and breakdown to high level designs, writing detailed design documentation, and developing code for C /Unix application for the Tellabs 7190/7194 network management systems.

Requirements:

- Minimum of 2 years C programming and Oracle experience

- Experience in object oriented design methodology with STL, UML/Rational Rose a plus

- Project experience in distributed architecture using CORBA/TAO and multi-threaded programming is desired

- Oracle application development and administration, OCCI, store procedure using PLSQL, triggers and schema design, high availability applications using Data-Guard and RMON are a plus

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in English

- Bachelor degree or above
