MT Program
 

Unilever is world- renowned for its super capability to foster and keep a continuous supply of talent pool and business leaders. Our Management Trainee (MT) Program is designed to select talented high potential fresh graduates and shape them into our future key talents and potential Leaders by offering structured development roadmap, challenging job assignment, a variety of career opportunities across business units and functions etc.

Each of our MT has the benefit of a roadmap to support their accelerated development, which incorporates cross- function rotation, extensive & intensive learning curriculum, high excellence coaching & mentoring program, network & sharing, corporate social responsibility.

 Marketing
We create, develop, and present our brands memorably, helping them to stand out in a competitive marketplace.
• We need to develop an expert knowledge of local markets, consumers, and their behavior, drawing on those to transform innovative ideas to high-class products.
• We cooperate with Research & Development, Consumer Market Insight and Global Brand Team, combining market research with local market insights to raise brand awareness and generate loyalty.
• We coordinate with Customer Development, closely involved in all the marketing campaigns to keep in touch with customers directly.
• We work with external agencies including design, PR and advertising, making full use of their professional knowledge and experience to maximize our brands' impact through targeted communications.

For marketing you need:
• Curiosity, innovation and the ability to assimilate information from different sources and use it in creating compelling communications.
• A strong interest in consumers, an intuitive understanding of their behavior, and knowledge of what works – and what doesn't – in specific markets.
• Very strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

 Human Resources

• We have to ensure that the right stock appears at the right time, also, planning and implementing promotions.
• We are expected to think strategically – optimizing return and channeling insights into our consumers and competitors to make key decisions on pricing, promotion, merchandising and growth.

For customer development you need:
• Very strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• A strong customer focus and the ability to develop strategies to meet the needs of your customers and our business.
• A love of the pace and competitiveness of the retail market.
• Practical creativity that focuses on results.
 Finance
Business is about creating value: creating value for society and customers by offering products and services which enrich their lives and creating value for the owners (the shareholders) of the business through generating growth and profit. Finance is at the very centre of this value creation. Most business decisions have a financial consequence and Finance helps the business optimize those decisions. Moreover all great businesses needs to manage their money, assets and liabilities and the business looks to Finance to do that.
In Unilever, Finance has always been a leading part of the business. Finance provides an operation platform to all sorts of business activities by controlling risk and assessing investment efficiency. Unilever finance, in addition, focuses more on business partners to seize business opportunities.
• We improve performance efficiency through optimizing business operation process and minimizing financial risks.

• We act as Unilever's internal counselor, providing assistance for strategy formulation.

For Consumer Market Insight you need:
• The ability to assimilate information from different sources and use it to create compelling communications.
• Very strong interpersonal, influencing and analytical skills.
• Curiosity, innovation, creativity – and the ability to apply them to achieving measurable results.
 Supply Chain(Manufacturing)
With many of our factories considered the best in their country, our challenge is to continue to deliver the efficiency for which we are renowned, whilst helping our factories to adapt to the changing needs of customers and consumers.
• We design and build high-speed production lines with outstanding organizational and technical skills.
• We are responsible for teams running production lines and for their quality, output and costs.
• We need to promote the highest standards in health and safety, and be committed to our policy of caring for the environment.

For supply chain you need:
• A degree in science or engineering.
• A high level of numeracy, strong organizational skills and a focus on results.
• A hands-on approach, good people management skills and the ability to use complex IT systems.
• The ability to be entrepreneurial when it comes to innovation and cost saving opportunities. The flexibility to work with varied business cultures and create strong links with them.

 Supply Chain(Planning/ Sourcing/ Deliver)
As one of the world's largest consumer goods companies, Unilever couldn't survive without supply chain management – from finding the raw materials to delivering our end product.
• We optimize the cost and quality of what we buy and how we buy it and intelligent sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and non-production items can reduce costs and make our business more effective.
• We are responsible for liaising with our suppliers and finding new ways to work with them, developing a thorough understanding of supply markets and playing a lead role in the innovation of new technologies.
• We are tasked with the planning that gets them all together in the right place – to deliver at the right time. Logistics takes a wider look at the supply chain process.
• We are central to the process of bringing new products to market, liaising with teams in buying, manufacturing, development, and marketing / customer management.

For supply chain you need:
• A degree in science, economics, logistics or engineering.
• A high level of numeracy, strong organizational skills and a focus on results.
• A hands-on approach, good people management skills and the ability to use complex IT systems.
• The ability to be entrepreneurial when it comes to innovation and cost saving opportunities. The flexibility to work with varied business cultures and create strong links with them.
 Research & Development
Research & Development makes brands come to life – we promote innovation across every aspect of our development and help to make brands bigger, bolder and more exciting.
• We draw inspiration from consumers and the market to lead research and idea generation and contribute to product design.
• We are involved in patent protection, regulatory compliance or ensuring that our activities have the lowest possible impact on the environment.

For product development you need:
• A degree, MSc or PhD in chemistry, engineering, biology, physical science, behavioural science or design or any other relevant technical area.

• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and leadership skills.
