Alcatel-Lucent in China
China, as one of the most quickly developing communication markets in the world, plays a crucial role in the global strategy of Alcatel-Lucent. In China, Alcatel-Lucent has about 10,000 employees, in which more than 4,000 are of R&D. The sales network covers 31 provinces and cities and overseas businesses are in more than 50 countries. China is one of the main R&D and production centers in Alcatel-Lucent worldwide. With strong local R&D and production competence, Alcatel-Lucent sets R&D centers in Shanghai, Beijing, Chengdu, Qingdao and Nanjing respectively and production and manufacturing bases in Shanghai and Qingdao.
