Introduction
We are proud to present this year again Media Inside - our yearly two-day media workshop giving all media interested students the chance to learn more about the company and its employees. During these two days MEDIA INSIDE participants will:
·Communicate with Bertelsmann Senior Management Team, explore the media industry
·Dialogue with a famous media talent in our mini "Blue Sofa" talk show
·Party with Bertelsmann People and network with Media Inside alumni
·Participate case study competition and challenge your creativity and knowledge framework
·Be informed about future internships or job vacancies at Bertelsmann
Participants who have an exceptional performance in the workshop will be rewarded with a "Career Shadow Day" in which you will accompany a senior manager for one day and see how Bertelsmann Manager's daily work is like.

History
Since 2002, when Media Inside had its debut in China, the workshop has been successfully held for 5 times. Here comes the report of Media Inside Workshop 2006.
Top Chinese Students Visit Bertelsmann In Shanghai Shanghai, 12/14/2006.
For the fifth time the Central Management Development of Bertelsmann in China organized the "Media Inside Workshop" in Shanghai. 24 top Chinese students spent two exciting and diversified days during which they had the opportunity to gain insights into Bertelsmann in China and to learn a lot about the global media company. They met with top executives from all four divisions represented in China, and with the Chinese media expert Lu Jinbo. As in past years, the number of applicants for "Media Inside" was greater than the number of spots available; more than 200 students applied for the workshop. The top 24 were selected during a comprehensive selection process. In the course of the workshop the students had to solve case studies in small groups that the executives of Sony BMG, G+J, Arvato, and Direct Group had prepared for them. The latter also formed the jury, which awarded the best participants. Now, they can accompany Bertelsmann executives for one day and experience their daily work up-close and personal within the framework of the "Career Shadow Day." For the first time, 20 Chinese exchange students from the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD - German Academic Exchange Service) were invited to the evening event in a Shanghai restaurant along with the 24 workshop participants.
