Audio Information Management and Extraction

Devoted to improving people/'s life with the latest speech technology, the AIME (Audio Information Management and Extraction) team in MSR Asia develops conversational-speech technologies for spoken-document retrieval and processing. Video-taped lectures, recorded meetings, voice messages -- search them, structure and summarize them, extract information, etc.
We are looking for several great students to join our team for 3-12 months for
- robust speech recognition for conversational recordings
- information extraction from spoken documents
- spoken-document retrieval with unrestricted vocabulary (English, Chinese)
You should match the following profiles:
1. strong speech, natural language, or digital signal processing background;
2. HTK experience (necessary);
3. good programming skill in C/C++ and/or perl
